The Removal Economy Is Hiring

Carbon removal has crossed from science project to procurement category. This week's edition covers roles at the frontier — where the spreadsheets are still being built and the protocols still being written.

Carbon

Head of Carbon Removal Strategy

Stripe Climate·Remote / San Francisco, CA

Lead Stripe's portfolio of permanent carbon removal purchases across direct air capture, enhanced weathering, and ocean-based approaches. You'll manage $50M+ in annual commitments and build the analytical frameworks that the industry doesn't yet have.

Agriculture

Regenerative Agriculture Programme Lead

Patagonia Provisions·Ventura, CA

Develop and scale sourcing partnerships with farms transitioning to regenerative practices. You'll hold the tension between supply chain integrity and farmer economic viability — a problem most food companies pretend doesn't exist.

Policy

Policy Director, Circular Materials

Ellen MacArthur Foundation·London / Hybrid

Shape EU and UK legislative strategy on extended producer responsibility, packaging mandates, and plastics. Your briefings land on ministerial desks. Your coalitions include brands that compete with each other and need someone to hold the room.

Finance

Climate Finance Associate

Breakthrough Energy Ventures·New York, NY

Support investment evaluation across hard-to-abate sectors — green hydrogen, long-duration storage, and industrial heat. You'll sit in on term sheet negotiations and write the memos that shape $100M decisions.

Every issue contains 4–7 roles, one essay, and a short read. Never more. Never filler.
