Origin
In 2022, the climate jobs market was accelerating faster than any single person could track. The IRA had just passed. Carbon markets were scaling. A new class of climate-focused funds was deploying capital. And the people best positioned to fill these roles had no reliable signal — just noise from generic job boards and LinkedIn alerts.
Canopy started as a personal newsletter. A curated list, sent to thirty friends, of the roles that actually mattered that week. Within six months it had grown to several thousand readers without a single paid promotion.
The signal was the product. It still is.
Editorial principles
Every role in Canopy is read, assessed, and selected by a human editor. We publish fewer listings so each one earns its place.
Each edition opens with an essay that explains the sector moment — so you understand why a role exists, not just what it pays.
No sponsored listings. No keyword-stuffed job boards. Canopy is a publication first, a jobs resource second.
